WWEC 2004 + Wind Power Asia 2004
The Most Professional and Largest Brand Event on Wind Energy in Asia


An agreement was signed between the organizers of WWEC and Wind Power Asia on December 31st 2003. This agreement will result the combination of WWEC and Wind Power Asia in 2004 in Beijing. According to the organizer’s new schedule, the combined events will be held between October 31st and November 4th 2004 at Beijing International Convention Center, China.

WWEC (World Wind Energy Conference) is organized by the world Wind Energy Association and it was held in Germany in 2002 and in South Africa in 2003. During the board conference of World Wind Energy Association in September 2003, Chinese Wind Energy Association, as the member of World Wind Energy Association, was successfully awarded WWEC 2004 in Beijing.

Approved by the China National Development & Reform Commission and the Ministry of Commerce of China, Wind Power Asia was successfully established in 2003 in Beijing as an annual conference and exhibition on wind power machinery and technologies in Asia. The event gets the firm support of Chinese Wind Energy Association, World Wind Energy Association and Indian Wind Energy Association. The Wind Power Asia 2003 is the first professional event tailored for wind energy industry in China and even in Asia. More than 50 exhibitors from China, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Switzerland, India, Italy, Spain, Japan, Denmark and the United States participated at the show and 36 papers were presented on the conference.

The combination of WWEC and Wind Power Asia will provide a more specialized and important opportunity for the professionals, investors and machinery manufacturers to bring and introduce their most advanced equipment and technologies into the potential Chinese and Asian markets.
     

China Wind Energy – A Booming Market
   
According to the Chinese government mid and long term development plan of wind energy:

In 2003, the first two chartered projects of wind farms were carried out by the Chinese National Development and Reform Commission. In 2004 much more projects will be approved. According to the development plan, 20 new large wind farms will be built up in China science 2003 and the installation capacity of each farm will be over 100 MW.
