Meetings between WWEA and Chinese Government
The representatives of WWEA visited the China National Development and Reform Commission on February 13th. Mr. Wu Guihui, the Deputy Administrator of the Energy Bureau and Mr. Shi Lishan, the supervisor of the New Energy Department of the Energy Bureau hosted the meeting. The Chinese government officers introduced the development of wind energy in China and its great potentialities. The attendees also exchanged the opinions on the supporting policies carried out by the government for the promotion of the new energies.
On February 14th, Mr. Shi Dinghuan, the General Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China met with WWEA representatives. Mr. Shi introduced the development of wind turbines manufacture capacity in China and hope the WWEC 2004 and Wind Power Asia 2004 to be a bridge for the domestic manufacturers to establish much further relationship with the international manufacturers of turbines. Mr. Shi also wishes WWEC 2004 and Wind Power Asia 2004 will be a successful event and the Chinese companies should take the opportunities to promote the development of wind energy industry in China.
