China: action sport's last frontier

Why China?

Today's Chinese population is approximately 1.3 billion. For comparison, the U.S. pop. is approx. 304 million.

The new "middle-class"- with a disposable income of USD 11-14K yr. is around 250 million consumers. By 2020 the number is expected to increase to over 400 million consumers. China has a young and hungry consumer market.

China's youth are looking for "International" influences in sports and recreation.

The Action sports lifestyle is underdeveloped and hungry for legitimate direction.

Action Sports Lifestyle

Comprised mainly of Skate, Surf, BMX and Snowsports.

All recognized by the Chinese Central Government and with growing participation.

Government support through Action Sports Association

Growth hindered by availability of product and training.

America Sports Data (2007), in the U.S. alone there are 11.6 million skateboarders, over 2 million surfers, 6.88 million snowboarders and 3 million BMX participants, the majority are between the ages of 18 and 30.
